1967

Start of a joint venture investment together with
Dainichi Kinzoku Kogyo Co. , Ltd, Japan

1969
Founding of Hankook Machine Tools Co. , Ltd. Dongrae, Pusan, Korea. Beginning of turning machine production
1977
State recognition as a specialized medium-sized company for the production of machine tools
1982
Relocation of the main administration and production complex in Changwon
1985
Development of oversized lathes. Development of NC lathes.

1989
Establishment of the research and development centre. Awarded the presidential bronze medal for taxpayers' day

1990
Development of CNC lathes with a maximum oscillating circle from 630 to 1700mm. Factory expansion by 2710sqm for CNC lathes production.

1992
Medal award for high productivity
1993

Development of the hitherto largest manuel lathes in Korea with a swing circle of 3060mm for turning generator turbines.

1995
Initial development in Korea of semi-CNC machines.
1997

Accreditation according to ISO 9001 and obtaining the EM mark for vertical lathes and semi-NC machines. Appointed as one of the 100 most competitive companies in Korea and honored by the Prime Minister.

 

1998/99

Preservation of the EM mark for the remaining lathes. Capital increase of Won 5 billion

2000
Recognition as a venture company. Presidential award for application-oriented high technology.
2002
Development of the wrapping machine for the leveling of optical filters

2004
Development of oversized CNC vertical lathes for workpieces up to 40 tons.
2005
Presidential Award

2006

Preservation of the 10-million dollar export Cups for the anniversary of the 43rd Day of Export

 

2007
State . Recognition as a high-tech company (INNO-Biz)

2008
Completion of the new administration building (2700sqm) and the new factory halls (7310sqm). Incorporation into the first precision category by
